Having dedicated my career to clinical research, I have seen first hand how a cancer diagnosis affects patients and their families. I have also seen first hand how research efforts can give those patients and their families hope in a cure. I am asking for your support and donations to help fund cancer research at MUSC's Hollings Cancer Center. Your donations go toward research grants funding endeavors for new discoveries and treatments to support the cure for cancer. Swim Across America's Open Water Swim in Charleston/Kiawah directly supports the local cancer center at MUSC. On June 8th I will be swimming, along with a few of my fellow anesthesia colleagues, a 1.5 mile ocean swim to raise money to support cancer research at MUSC's Hollings Cancer Center.

Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.
