Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care. 

This year I will be swimming in honor of my dear friend Gina Mannix Wente. Growing up, Gina and I spent most of our summer days together at the Larchmont Shore Club where we would use early morning swim practice as an excuse to have as many sleepovers as possible. Our inseparable summers led to a friendship I hold close to my heart. Gina lost her hard fought battle to breast cancer on February 26, 2024. As one of my first and best childhood friends, I cherish the memories we have together. I am honored to swim this year in her memory.
