Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care. 

Gina and I met as 8 & Under’s on the Larchmont Shore Club swim team where we also discovered we were neighbors - and the rest was history. Many years of carpooling, sleepovers and various swim teams later - we became forever friends. 

Gina braved a hard fought battle with an aggressive metastatic breast cancer. I am swimming in her memory and her honor.
