For the 21st consecutive year, my family and close friends will be participating in the 30th annual Swim Across America Long Island Sound open water swim. The tradition to swim each year towards a cure continues as we're excited to get back in the water this year and every year.

This amazing event raises money for cancer research, prevention & treatment - all of which your generous donations go toward. To date, SAA has raised over $80 million!

My grandmother, Inger, 25 years ago lost her battle to this devastating illness and my grandfather, Lou, also battled cancer. My mom, Gina, is a cancer survivor and has been part of the SAA organization since it began. We also swim in memory of close family and friends Bob Burns, Bonnie Gajdzisz and so many more.

This swim is dedicated to the memory of my grandmother, my grandfather and to honor all of those who have lost the battle to cancer, who are currently fighting, as well as those who have beaten it.
