I am once again participating in Swim Across America, which is a great cause that promotes health and wellness while fighting a deadly disease in an innovative way.

Fighting Cancer: Swim Across America (SAA) has raised millions to fight cancer. Significant portions of the money raised goes to support early stage cancer treatments that do not qualify for grant money.

As an example, Sloan Kettering was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Medicine for the development of Immunotherapy which they have shared with the world. But the concept of immunotherapy did not originally qualify for grant money and would not have proceeded to the development stage but for the funding from SAA - and donations from you.

Health and Wellness: SAA also promotes a healthy lifestyle by sponsoring the 2K, 5K, and 10K swims.  I love this aspect of the event as well.  This year and I am going to once again try the 10K swim.
