In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that.

In April 2000, my mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  The next 16 months were the longest of our lives- my entire family, especially my suffering mom.  She lost her battle in August of 2001. This swim is for her and all who suffer from this hideous disease.
