Gina, we miss you!

Gina and I were friends growing up through summer swimming and in high school, we got even closer doing Ursuline swimming together. She is the sweetest soul and is always in on the joke. Her laugh is contagious and her loyalty unmatched. The number of belly laughs we all shared with her will never be forgotten.

We went on to work at GE together and overlapped living in Stamford CT for a short time. I’ll cherish this time we had together, two fresh out of college, working girls with our whole lives ahead of us!!

Gina lost her short but courageous battle with cancer in February 2024. We swim in honor and memory of Gina, and to show our love and support for her husband and her two young children.

Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.
