In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that. 

 
Recently, these statistics hit my family hard, and sadly this year my sister Maureen passed away in May after fighting Gastric Cancer the best that anyone could. I’m going to be swimming the Long Island Sound 5k event in July in her honor.
