I'm so excited to be participating in the Swim Across America Long Island Sound charity swim for the second year in a row! Last year proved to be a really great experience and I am eager to get in the water again, not only for the personal sense of accomplishment, but also to support a great cause that is close to my heart. 

I am swimming in memory of my brother, Rich, who lost his battle with childhood Leukemia at the age of 15. For him, and all those who have faced cancer in their lifetime, Swim Across America offers support and hope in the face of great adversity.​

Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims across the nation with one goal in mind: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, the organization has raised over $100M to fund pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.
