On July 27th, I will be taking part in a 2K open water swim in the Long Island Sound to raise money for cancer research! I will be swimming in memory of dear friends from both sides of the Atlantic who we lost too soon to cancer. 

Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Proceeds from the Long Island Sound Swim will support immunotherapy research at the Swim Across America Laboratory, the research laboratories of Dr. Luis Diaz and the MSK Kids Department of Pediatrics at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, immunotherapy research and clinical trials at the Swim Across America Laboratory at Weill Cornell Cancer Center, pediatric oncology research at Morgan Columbia University Medical Center and patient services with Cancer Support Team.
