Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care. 

I swim in honor of my grandmother, Sarah Haller, who died of cancer in 2001. This year, in my first return to the water since I was 12, I will be swimming with two good friends of mine, Kenny Lippman and Cameron Brickley. Both teammates and classmates of mine at Denison University, they've joined the swim this year to honor my grandmother and raise money as well.
