Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care. 

As many probably now, cancer affects many families in very different ways. It never affects just one person. In my personal case, it's something I have learned from a young age with my grandmother or my father, and with more recent reminders with my father again (still fighting and winning), my aunt, or one of my cousins when she was pregnant with twins (all three also won that one and are doing great). As a personal challenge I am going to try swimming this year and will try to help and contribute to this organization. If you can help in any way it would be incredible.
