“Team Transplant" (pictured here from July 2022), Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), will participate for its 15th consecutive summer on Saturday morning, July 29, 2023, in Swim Across America's 31st ANNIVERSARY of the Long Island Sound open water swim.  Since its inception, SWIM has granted over $100M nationwide in support of cancer immunotherapy, personalized medicine, gene sequencing to guide targeted therapies, patient programs for adolescent and youth survivorship, and community outreach support for cancer patients in treatment.  Local SWIM chapters around the US always support locally, in this case in the Greater NYC area.  This in turn has led to over $200M in new competitive funding from other sources, e.g., Natl Cancer Institute/Natl Institues of Health (NCI/NIH)....always with enormous thanks to YOU.  Team Transplant alone raised almost $33K in 2022, and all funds that “Team Transplant" raises are earmarked directly for the bone marrow and stem cell transplantation program at MSKCC.  These funds support research that ensures the successful use of transplantation to cure patients with leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and other cancers of the blood and bone marrow.  It is especially rewarding to all of us that MSKCC's transplant efforts have allowed so many patients to return to their usual livelihoods that predated their cancer diagnoses and treatments.

If you prefer to write a check (in lieu of donating on line), please make it payable directly to"SWIM ACROSS AMERICA" with "MSKCC - Team Transplant/SWIMMER'S NAME" in the memo line.

Please mail any checks directly to Swim Across America, P.O. Box 217, Larchmont, NY 10538, but be sure the memo line notes that it is for "MSKCC Team Transplant/SWIMMER'S NAME".   Alternatively, you can mail your check directly to your sponsored swimmer, and s/he will submit your donation on the event day. 

If you are using a dedicated charitable giving account, Swim Across America's tax ID# is 22-324-8256. You will also need to have that check sent directly to Swim Across America, P.O. Box 217, Larchmont, NY 10538, but again be sure that it is noted for "MSKCC Team Transplant/SWIMMER'S NAME".

Don't forget about Employer Matching Gift programs. In such cases employers will also need to make checks payable to Swim Across America and use SWIM's tax ID# and Larchmont mailing address above. Once again, please be sure that the check is directed to "MSKCC Team Transplant/SWIMMER'S NAME".
