This summer I will be participating in Swim Across America in honor of my dear friend, Karli.  Karli left this world for another on Friday, March 18, 2022.  Her battle with cancer was one of grace and humor. She was an inspiration to my family and me. She will be greatly missed. 

Karli loved to be in the water. Whenever she could, she would jump in the ocean and take a swim. She was a supporter of Swim Across America and understood what an impact it was making on the island, first hand. 

I am so thankful to Nantucket Cottage Hospital’s oncology unit and the Palliative and Supportive Care of Nantucket (PASCON) for all of their care and support for Karli and her family.  Proceeds from Swim Across America Nantucket go directly to these two organizations to fund these vital services we need so greatly on our small island.
