Help Me Fight Cancer
4 years ago on June 14, 2019 I was diagnosed with cancer. I am lucky now that my tumor is stable but I am not cancer free. Cancer still takes up space in my life and I work hard to not allow it to control too much. I am lucky to be able to still do the things I love and spend time with the people I love.
This year instead of swimming, because we all know I am not the swimmer in the family, I will be running in the Falmouth Road Race on the Swim Across America Team for Nantucket. All funds raised/donated stay on Nantucket, benefiting local cancer patients, like myself, who seek treatment on island.
Fighting cancer is hard mentally, emotionally, and physically. The ability to receive cancer treatment on an island 30 miles out to sea is one less thing to worry about while trying to live with a cancer diagnosis.
If you are able, please support me by making a donation to my personal fundraising page so that I can give back to the organization that has helped me through the first two years of my cancer diagnosis and treatment. I know I will continue to access the resources offered by PASCON as I continue my battle against cancer.
You can make a credit card donation by clicking on "DONATE NOW" or send a check to Swim Across America - Nantucket, PO Box 3271, Nantucket, MA 02584 Check should be made out to Swim Across America but please include a note mentioning my name as the participant you are supporting!
