Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.

I am now 69 and started competitive swimming when I was 9 years old. I now swim for Ensworth Aquatics at Masters meets and for Southern Kentucky Swim Club (SKY) at USA Swimming meets... yup, usual more than a half century older than anyone else entered in USAS meets, but always feel welcome by the kids, parents and refs.  The sport has given so much to me, it is wonderful to use it to give back through participation in Swim Across America.
