In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community as a young swimmer so that, together, we can change that. I swam the 5K with Swim Across America in high school. I also hosted a pool swim at Jericho high school and raised almost $23,000. This summer I will be swimming the 10K event in honor of my dear friend Carolyn Chestler who lost her battle with cancer in November 2021. Swimming the 10k has been something I have always wanted to do and I am very excited to train for this event and raise money for cancer research.
