Welcome to Joe Daly's Personal Page - Thank You!
This July 30th marks my 11th year being part of this fundraising effort and I am once again swimming the 1 Mile open water swim with Swim Across America and ask for your support.
An estimated 40% of Americans will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetime. Meanwhile, National Cancer Institute funding for investigative research and clinical trials has decreased 25% the past 10 years. This benefit swim is so important because it raises dollars that are invested into early stage cancer research and clinical trials. The researchers we are funding are in our community and are the next generation of cancer pioneers. Without Swim Across America early stage funding, they are not able to conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs that can save lives.
I want you to know that your donations are going to support some of the most dedicated and renowned beneficiaries in the world of cancer research, treatment and prevention.
They include Memorial Sloan Kettering, Weill Cornell Medicine, Cold Spring Harbor Lab, The University of Texas MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital (The Stacey Leondis Fellowship), The Feinstein Institute at Northwell Health, and SHARE Cancer Support. The team at SAA Nassau/Suffolk Long Island is an all-volunteer team, dedicated to maximizing the direct donations to our beneficiaries. Since the start in 2002, over 81% of every dollar raised goes directly to the cause…
