I am excited to again  join Team Carolyn this year. In July 2021,  Carolyn Chestler received a surprising terminal cancer diagnosis for an otherwise extraordinarily healthy person. Carolyn's husband Steve and their two children started this Team in Carolyn's memory. Carolyn swam for years with the same Master's Swim Team as I have, AquaFit/Excel Swimming. It is wonderful that  SAA Team Excel has merged with Team Carolyn to support Steve and his Family in memory of Carolyn. 

At SAA Nassau Suffolk we have raised approx. $13 million in the last 20 years. principally for cancer research. We have been very fortunate that our cancer researchers are the best and have had much success. But, there is so much more to do, and so we continue to SWIM. As devastating as Carolyn's situation was, we know there will be more unfortunate surprises for too many individuals and their families.  So what we can do is swim and raise $$ to support the best cancer research.
