Welcome to My Personal Page
This is my third year joining Team Carolyn and Excel Swimming to swim in memory of my wonderful friend and dedicated swimmer, Carolyn Jaenisch. I am currently recovering from shoulder repair surgery after a running injury. I know what it’s like to not be able to swim when it’s exactly what I want to do. I can’t imagine facing a cancer diagnosis as well. Carolyn continued swimming up until it became difficult to use her arms in May 2021, and a rare, aggressive form of lung cancer was diagnosed. Undergoing treatment and therapy, Carolyn’s hope was to recover and get back to what she loved to do… swim. New treatments and therapies require funding. We swim to raise awareness and funds for these and, ultimately, cures.
If you are able, please support me by making a gift. The researchers we are funding are in our community and are the next generation of cancer pioneers. Without Swim Across America early stage funding, they are not able to conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs that can save lives. Thank you for helping make an impact in the fight to find a cure!
