In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that.  

Like many others, I have known people in my personal life to have been affected by this horrible disease. UNC Swimming and Diving's Keri Cleary and my close friend's mom, Sonu Gupta, are just two of the survivors I will be swimming for. They have battled breast cancer and are huge inspirations for me with the strength and determination they have shown in their fights against cancer.
