"Cancer Sucks"

I'll never forget those words that were emblazoned on the back of my patient's T-shirt.  They resonated with me as I had lost my father to cancer just a few years before.  Since that day I have worked as a physician-scientist and a practicing oncologist to better understand cancer, find novel drug targets, and make life better for cancer patients.
