I was diagnosed with breast cancer on May 17th 2023, one month after running the Boston marathon. That timeline, will forever be etched in my brain and in my heart. My world changed in that moment and the weeks to follow and I know that it will continue.

I feel very thankful for how my entire cancer journey has been from the start of finding a lump, my first appointments and my support team.  I have been supported in many ways and would like to help and support many other people who unfortunately are affected by cancer. 

I am incredibly honored this year to team up with Swim Across America and the Carolina Swimming and Diving team to help fund cancer research at the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. I'll be participating in the event at the Koury Natatorium in Chapel Hill on Saturday September 30th and plan on volunteering and swimming myself.
