In September, I will be swimming with Swim Across America Rhode Island and ask for your support. An estimated 40% of Americans will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetime. Meanwhile, National Cancer Institute funding for investigative research and clinical trials has decreased 25% the past 10 years. This benefit swim is extremely important because it raises dollars that are invested into early stage cancer research and clinical trials. The researchers we are funding are in our community and are the next generation of cancer pioneers. Without Swim Across America early stage funding, they are not able to conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs that can save lives.

While I am swimming along my teammates, I will swimming for my grandpa Jed who lost his battle to cancer 28 years ago. Any donation will help me reach my goal and help better the lives of those living with this diagnosis. Help us on our journey to finding a cure!
