The Swim Across America organization holds a series of open water races across the country to help raise money and awareness for cancer research. My team participates in the Rhode Island swim, where donations specifically help fund cancer research at Women and Infants Hospitals.

Knowing and loving several people in my immediate family and community who have beat cancer, are currently fighting cancer, or have unfortunately passed away from cancer, this swim and this foundation holds a very special place in my heart.
