Avary Serpa's Swim Page
In 2016, my aunt Sue passed away from gall-bladder cancer.
On June 22 of this year, James Dias passed away from brain cancer. He was a student at my high school and was only 16 years old.
Many of my friends and family have personally experienced the effects of cancer or have lost family members. In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer.
On September 7, I will be completing a mile long open water swim in Narragansett, RI with the Bishop Feehan Swim Team to raise money for cancer research.
Kindly support my swim with a tax deductible donation. Your donation will help find a cure and support organizations including the Woman and Infants Hospital of Rhode Island.
