Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care. 

I joined Swim Across America in memory of my grandpa and for anyone with a loved one who battled or is still battling cancer.  About 40% of men and woman in the US will be diagnosed with cancer at a point in their lifetime, a astronomically large and scary number that we can make less scary by making treatments safer, less costly, and more successful.
