Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care. 

I joined Swim Across America because I believe in their mission and want to help give more families hope. At some point in all of our lives we have been affected by cancer so we as a community need to put an end to it. Too many loved ones have been affected by this life-threatening disease. By participating in the swim, I hope to provide families with the hope that there will be a cure for cancer. This year, as I am swimming I will be thinking about a few very special people who are currently undergoing treatment and the loved ones lost in recent months and years.
