2023 will mark my 18th year supporting Swim Across America-SF's battle against pediatric Cancer, and I do so in honor of my sister, Patricia, who has Cancer.

After leading the kayak safety fleet for the first few years of the swim, I  served through 2020 as the event's Co-Director with inspirational three-time cancer survivor Susan Helmrich. This year, I am the Safety Director of the September 30th event. I will be on the "Baykeeper" overseeing the fleet of support vessels and kayaks as they shepherd the hundreds of brave swimmers stoking their way from Yacht Harbor to Aquatic Park.
