In support of Claire Felton
Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.
I am participating in Swim Across America this year because my daughter Claire was diagnosed with Leukemia just over a week ago, while soaking in her first month of her freshman year at the University of Arizona. She is currently at UCSF Beniof Children's Hospital in Mission Bay getting immediate treatment. I've done this swim before to support SAA and a dear friend who's daughter went through cancer treatment. It's not the diagnosis any family wants to hear but we will fight this the best we can and the team of doctors and nurses at UCSF has been amazing thus far and we are so grateful.
The Swim Across America San Francisco swim donates all proceeds to support cancer research and complex patient care at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital and Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute. I'm grateful that these funds can help Claire and other children with cancer treatment today, and in the future, here in the Bay Area.
Please make a donation to honor Claire in her cancer fight, as well as future generations of children who will be diagnosed.
Thank you for helping me #MakeWavesToFightCancer.
