Welcome to Heather Stewart's Personal Page
It’s that time of year again- back to school, fall sports, and Swim Across America!
Ten Years, Baby!
That's right. This year marks ten years since my first Swim Across America. Ten years that most of you reading this have supported me in my efforts to "Make Waves to End Cancer". I am tremendously grateful for your continued support.
While I will always volunteer with this amazing organization in some capacity, and I'll never stop swimming on my own, this will be my last year participating in the swim. Ten years is a long time to be asking loved ones to donate. You have all been so generous.
So, for the last time, I humbly ask you to help me raise as much money as possible in order to help UCSF and Oakland Children's Hospitals fund research, treatment, and education to end cancer.
One of my favorite programs that Swim Across America supports is the Survivor Program at UCSF, directed by my friend Dr. Rob Goldsby. Patients who have had cancer as a child and face health challenges later in life receive support, care, and contribute to research. Sadly, we lost a great friend to cancer this year- Adam Parsley. I will be swimming in memory of him and in honor of two more friends currently fighting their cancer battles. I swim because I am tired of losing loved ones and I desperately want to find a cure!
Thank you in advance for your continued support,
Heather
