Welcome to My Personal Page
I do a lot of swimming and am happy to say that now my efforts will be going toward something good. I have swum with SAA for the past couple years and now have taken a big step as co-lead for this year's Swim Across America - San Francisco event. I have found it is a much bigger task than swimming! Working closely with the beneficiaries of SAA, I have learned in more detail the great work we are funding for advanced cancer research. We have a wonderful group of volunteers working hard to make this a great event.
Because I will be running the event this year, I can not participate in the actual swim. For my challenge swim this year, I will be swimming the length of Lake Tahoe (22 miles) with my fellow SAA leaders in August. The swim should take us about 16-18 hours to complete. Many hours of this swim will be under the stars at night and each of those stars represents someone lost to cancer.
In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that.
If you are able, please support me by making a gift. The researchers we are funding are in our community and are the next generation of cancer pioneers. Without Swim Across America early stage funding, they are not able to conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs that can save lives. Thank you for helping make an impact in the fight to find a cure!
Join me in helping with a cure.
