Since 2016, Team Genentech has been raising money for children suffering from Cancer thru participation in Swim Across America ('SAA').  This is one path I have chosen to give back - the SAA event combines the pure bliss of open water swimming, a sense of community and, most importantly, engagement for a meaningful cause.

SAA unites the open water swimming community by hosting benefit swims that raise money to fund life saving research and clinical trials.  Since inception, SAA has granted over $80 million to world-renowned research institutes, and when they make a grant, 100% must be applied to the approved clinical trial or research project.

We don't really swim across America, but we do swim 1.5 miles in the SF Bay from Chrissy Field to Aquatic Park.  I appreciate your donation in support of this my SIXTH Swim Across America event, and I thank all of those that continue to donate to this wonderful cause year after year. 

The proceeds from this year's swim will support pediatric cancer research and patient survivorship at the Swim Across America Lab at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals in Oakland and San Francisco.
