This Is My Seventh Year Supporting Swim Across America!
This will be my seventh year supporting the fight against cancer. In the past 6 years, with the generosity of friends and family I raised over $6000!
Swim Across America was what started my now deep love of open water swimming. When I was 8, my awesome coach, Mike Keck asked if I would like to jump off a boat into the Bay and swim to fight cancer. I said "heck yeah", and the rest is history.
Training for these swims brought a deeper connection to our team and our love of the open water. We swim every week throughout the year with now 2 Mikes as our fearless leaders. Mike Tschantz-Hahn has also joined us as a coach.
Following our successful completion of the English channel relay in 2022, our team did a relay across the length of Loch Lomond. We were the first American team to do so! Thank you all for your help with these swims!
The fight against cancer is crucial. Cancer impacts everyone in some way. In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. This includes members of my extended family and I'll bet in yours. We joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that. Last year I joined the SAA team, as a Junior Ambassador to increase my impact and help recruit more youth swimmers,
If you are able, please support us by making a gift. Your generosity funds researchers in the Bay Area who are pioneers in cancer research. Without Swim Across America early stage funding, they would not be able to conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs that can save lives.
Please support me in my fight to help cancer research.
Thanks!
