This will mark the 13th year for "UCSF Team Newborn" taking part in the SAA SF Bay Swim to help raise funds and awareness to fight childhood cancer.
We are all friends of the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Intensive Care Nursery (ICN) with the common goal of defeating childhood cancers. Almost 25% of all pediatric malignancies are diagnosed in the first year of life.
Please support us in whatever way you can. If you are a swimmer planning to swim the event, you can search "UCSF Team Newborn" and join the team at the time you register on the SAA website. If you aren't a swimmer, but want to support us in other ways, we welcome any support in the form of donations, social media, words of encouragement and general good vibes!. All funds go directly to benefit UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Pediatric Cancer research in Oakland and the Survivors of Childhood Cancer Clinic at UCSF Mission Bay in San Francisco.
To make a donation from this page, select anyone from the Team Roster (preferably someone who still hasn't reached their fund raising goal) to be linked to the swimmers page and select "Donate Now" to make a contribution.
Thank you again for your generous support,
Tom Shimotake, MD
Captain, UCSF Team Newborn
