Dear friends,  

In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer.  I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in Swim Across America as a way to support cancer research. 

On Saturday, September 7 I will join with several hundred others in a one mile swim in Lake Sammamish to raise money for cancer research!

I will be swimming with a team called Hope Seattle and I will be swimming to honor many special people whose names will be written on my back.   

I will be swimming for my Dad, who celebrated his 90th birthday and continues to be treated for prostate cancer.  I will also be swimming to support Sydney, a young mom in our Hope community who is courageously fighting cancer. I will also be swimming in honor of our kind and generous neighbor Andy, who we recently lost to cancer. 

I greatly appreciate any support you can give by sponsoring me and making a gift that will go directly to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance/Fred Hutch.  They are on the front line in cancer research and have the utmost respect and care for the patients they treat. Through your support they are able to conduct the trials that lead to breakthroughs that can save lives.
