In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change that. This swim has changed my life and my family too. This is my sixth year doing the swim. I’m also doing the cancer swim in honor of all the people that survived cancer, like my sister Kristin, and those who didn’t survive it. I’m also going to dedicate  this swim to my cousin Nancy McGrath. I am challenging myself in the Seattle Open Water swim to raise as much money as I can to fight cancer. Cancer has affected my family and many other families as well. Please support me in this effort by making a gift to Swim Across America.  Every little bit helps.
