I appreciate your support!
In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community years ago to honor family members and friends impacted by cancer with the gift I've received - swimming.
Today when I'm training for the swim, I think of the many cancer survivors (including my wife of 38 years, Sandy), the families of those who've lost loved ones to cancer and those currently fighting for their lives; they're my motivation and inspiration to "just keep swimming."
The cancer researchers funded by the SAA program are in the Seattle community and are the next generation of cancer pioneers. Without Swim Across America early stage funding, they are not able to conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs and save lives.
If you are able, please consider supporting Swim Across America and its fight against cancer by sponsoring my 2-mile open water swim this September.
Thank you for helping make an impact in the fight to find a cure!
