Swimming this year in Swim Across America is deeply personal for me as in 2016 my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thankfully, through the support of the Hutch she is now 8 years cancer free! This event is so special to our family as the money it raised helped my mom in so many ways but also it has helped our family feel a lot less alone during the hard times.
