Welcome to Debi Kirkpatrick's page
THank you for your desire to learn more about Swim Across America via my page. This will be my second fund-raising swim. I will be dedicating my swim to my brother Ron, my dad Gaylon and my aunt Eudora, all who died of cancer.
Possibly like you, I have known many people who are cancer survivors, are currently receiving treatment for cancer, or who have died of cancer. I have worked at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and University of Washington with doctors and scientists who dedicate their lives to research and treatment to save the lives of their patients.
From my first days at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in 1979 to now, there has been so much progress and we need to keep it going. These dollars donated to research will keep the momentum going.
Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.
Thank you for helping me #MakeWavesToFightCancer.
