Candace's Personal Page
Jessica— an amazing daughter, mother, sister, and wife—lost her fight with ovarian cancer on December 18, 2023. The battle against this insidious disease continues, and my participation in Swim Across America is a small way for me to contribute to the effort to find a cure and to honor the memory of my beautiful daughter, Jessica. I also swim for other cancer warriors: the survivors, those currently undergoing treatment, and those who are yet to receive a diagnosis.
If you are able, please come out and join in on the swim or you can help me by making a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal. No worries if you can’t do either at this time, but do consider giving in some way at some time to the effort to eradicate cancer, a disease that continues to confound the science.
In case you want to know more about SAA….
Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.
Thank you for helping me #MakeWavesToFightCancer!
