Team Mustang is made up of former SMU Swimmers, friends and family. Started in 2011 at the Dallas event, Team Mustang continues to make waves against cancer in cities across America thanks to the support of our generous donors. 100% of the fundraising benefits local cancer research and treatment. 

Why do we swim?

We have lost several SMU Swimming & Diving alums to cancer and most recently we lost our former coach, Eddie Sinnott. We swim in his memory and the memory of all those Mustangs taken too soon by cancer. 

More than 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Tens of millions of people have loved ones diagnosed with cancer and Team Mustang is working to change that one swimmer at a time.
