In memory of my grandmother Lourdes (Tata) that just passed away from Colon Cancer in February 15, 2024. She fought until the end and left us with a smile in her heart. In honor of my other  grandmother Evelyn (mama Valyn) that fought breast cancer and now has been cancer free. Also in memory of my aunt Aida, my cousin Waleska, and others.  On May 4, 2024 will swim in open water.  In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that.
