Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.

I will be swimming in Memory of Wanda Jackson and In Honor of Anna Maria Ferrone.

Wanda Jackson, Mother of 3, was diagnosed with rare form of small intestinal cancer . She was a person that cared about people in special way and gave the best advice. She had a smile that lit up every room she entered. She was honest and loyal to a fault. She was full of personality, known for her outrageous sense of humor and a proclaimed adrenaline junkie. Her memory lives onion the lives she touched.

Anna Maria is a mother, teacher and lover of the arts.  Anna Maria  is a Music teacher . When she isn't teaching you can find her at a Broadway Show. 

I promise to swim as fast as I can in Memory of Wanda and in Honor of Anna Maria.
