The Whalers are "Making Waves to Fight Cancer" with Swim Across America. Everyone's life has been impacted by cancer which is why we're dedicating one of our practices and having FUN swimming to help and raise money for cancer research, prevention and treatment.

EVENT INFO
ABOUT THE EVENT

WHAT: The Arapahoe Lake Whalers are “Harpooning Pediatric Cancer” along with Swim Across America-Denver to benefit Children’s Hospital Colorado! In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, 47 children are diagnosed every day, and only 4% of NIH funding is allocated to childhood cancer research. Swim Across America is a National non-profit that has raised over $115 million since 1987 for cancer research & clinical trials through open water swims, pool swims & clinics throughout the USA! SAA-Denver has raised over $1.1 million locally since inception in 2018.

The Whalers Pool Swim Against Pediatric Cancer is taking place on Friday, June 14th. We will have a FUN morning in the water, including some unique pool games and relays! We will be swimming to make a tangible impact right here in our community! All funds raised stay in Colorado and will benefit pediatric cancer research & clinical trials at Children's Hospital Colorado's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. Please join us and show Whalers spirit in order to help others.

FUNDRAISING: We encourage swimmers to each register and raise at least $75 or ask for donations to be made to the team site if not registering as individual team members.
