Welcome to My Personal Page
Dear Friends,
On Saturday July 20th I will be participating in Swim Across America. For over three decades, this non-profit has raised money for early-stage cancer research.
This year I’m swimming in memory of Genevieve “Gigi” Favelukes, a neighbor and elementary school classmate of Harmon’s. Gigi was a vibrant, tenacious and charismatic nine-year-old who exhibited remarkable bravery and grace during her battle with cancer. Gigi’s legacy is carried on by her incredible parents, Rob and Courtney, younger sister, Camille, and younger brother, Charlie. I look forward to joining the team “Swim For Gigi” led by her many neighbors on Kilmer Road.
Gigi was not afforded the opportunity to continue to disperse her magic and further impact the world, but swimming in her honor feels like an endeavor she would appreciate. She was physically active and generous towards her friends and community. We swim with love, determination, and hope that we can make a difference.
To date, Swim Across America has granted over $100 million dollars that have led to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, gene therapy, personalized medicine, and patient programs. Every little bit helps make a difference. 100% of all funds raise for SAA are applied to approved projects.
