As you may know, my daughter, Keira and I have been involved with Swim Across America for well over 20 years. Like all members of TEAM HOPE, we are "committed to the support of our families and friends who are engaged in the struggle against cancer. We have dedicated ourselves to the memory of those whose battle is over and who are now at peace." This battle is a very personal one for us as our beloved Patti and so many of our dear relatives and friends have been taken by this terrible disease.

On Friday, July 19th, I will be "making waves to fight cancer" by joining the members of TEAM HOPE for a 1 mile swim at the North Hempstead Country Club. 

My fundraising will go directly to support cancer research at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center-SAA Laboratory, the MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital, the Feinstein Institute at North Shore LIJ and the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.
