The Huntington Yacht Club is Making Waves to Fight Cancer with Swim Across America. Everyone's life has been impacted by cancer which is why we're swimming to help "Make Waves to Fight Cancer" and raise money for cancer research, prevention and treatment. Since their inception in 2001, the Nassau / Suffolk Chapter of Swim Across America has raised over $12,000,000 to support cancer research, prevention and treatment.
Proceeds from the swim support research at the Swim Across America Laboratory at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the Swim Across America Laboratory at Weill Cornell Cancer Center, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, the Feinstein Institute of North Shore, the University of Texas MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital and SHARE Cancer Support.
