The funds raised by the Nantucket Island Swim will go to fund Swim Across America in their efforts to "Make Waves to Fight Cancer." All net proceeds from the swim will go towards cancer treatment and patient care through Nantucket Cottage Hospital and Palliative and Supportive Care of Nantucket (PASCON). | The net proceeds from our swim directly improve and expand cancer care services on-island. With our support, Nantucket Cottage Hospital (NCH) continues to expand its Oncology and Patient Services to provide regularly visiting, world-class oncologists, a nurse practitioner and state of the art treatment and patient care. With our support, Palliative and Supportive Care of Nantucket (PASCON) has developed a designated Cancer Support Program providing patient navigator services and supportive survivorship services for patients with any stage of cancer. Through the efforts of these organizations, along with the support of Swim Across America - Nantucket, residents and visitors alike who are dealing with cancer can receive outstanding treatment and support here on island. |
